RAL 7016 (anthracite grey) has been the dominant choice for years. Clients are increasingly choosing tones drawn from the natural environment of the building.
RAL 7016 anthracite grey became the signal of modern building taste in the late 2010s and through the 2020s. On our market it still accounts for around 55% of all ALU windows. But the trend is shifting.
We see two directions in new orders. First: two-tone joinery — RAL 7016 or 9005 (black) outside, white or matt anthracite inside. This preserves the modern exterior aesthetic but warms up the interior. VEKA Softline 82 and Schüco systems with AluClip overlays let you go fully different colours outside and inside.
Second: natural tones. RAL 8019 (grey-brown), RAL 7039 (khaki grey), RAL 7022 (umbra grey). These colours pair with new builds clad in stone or timber and are increasingly common on architecturally ambitious projects.
The classics still hold — RAL 9016 (white) is 38% of our deliveries, especially for residential blocks and renovations. RAL 6005 (moss green) remains popular for shutters and louvers in Herzegovina and Dalmatia.
Good to know: on ALU systems all RAL colours are achieved by powder coating (oven-baked) and the finish is permanent. On PVC, AluClip or AluSkin overlays produce a metallic surface, while VEKA Spectral foils achieve RAL tones directly on the PVC profile with a 15+ year service life.
